    at work:  I'm no longer involved in any of the planning and design
    discussions.  That's why it feels like a demotion, regardless of my title.
    It's happened before, and I can probably deal with it now that I know what
    the problem is.

  * buy: coffee (plus Snake and Butterfly truffles!)
    ! realized that seeing lesbian and gay couples being loving in public
      makes me happy.

Mostly a good day, with some web work, a shopping expedition (coffee, and a bus pass for the YD), a lovely st/roll with Colleen, and a particularly good series of IM conversations with Naomi. Some useful insights into what's going on at work, and its connection to my personal life. (More on that later, I hope, once I get it sorted out a little more.)

On the other hand, Colleen was in a lot of pain from arthritis, and could barely walk. She's started taking glucosamine/condroitin again, and it seems to be helping.

I use glucosamine/condroitin for arthritic conditions, and it does help a great deal.

The other thing my endrocrinologist checks is my vitamin D levels. If you are low in vitamin D, it can cause pain very similar to arthritis. I was able to half my dose of g/c when I received the proper amount of D. Since Colleen is spending more time indoors with her chair, she may be low on D. It may be worth checking out with her doctor.

Thanks. She's taking D+Calcium, though perhaps not enough. Now that I know that D is a factor in other autoimmune diseases besides celiac, I may suggest that she raise her dose.
