Nice pic! I have a little folding table like that. How did you get the original label stuck to the wood off? ;-)

I'm not sure it ever had one; we've had those for several decades, so I've probably forgotten if it ever did.

In any case, the glue they use on labels is generally oil-soluble; mineral oil or an oil-based furniture polish like lemon oil would probably work. Alcohol also works pretty well.
