I suppose the big news was that the pictures [livejournal.com profile] ifics took of me in the leather jacket finally got posted. The Interfilk auction photos start here, and my two-shot starts here

Not as productive a day at work as I would have liked; next week is going to be busy.

Both statements are true: that jacket looks very good on you, and you look very good in that jacket. And this is going to sound weird, but the phrase that sprang into my mind upon seeing you in it was "Talmudic biker". Lots of tasty cognitive dissonance there! ;-D

Nonetheless, you look really, really good in that jacket.

I've got news for you, friend... "not movie-star handsome" does not equal "ugly". You're rather plain, and so am I, but that doesn't mean our appearance will curdle milk, stop clocks, crash computers, and make small children wail in fear. And everyone has at least one, usually more, feature that can be optimized with the right piece of clothing or hair style or something. In your case, it's that jacket - it's a little hard to tell from still photos, but I think it makes you unconsciously change your posture slightly and allows more of your personality to shine through. I'm afraid you're going to have to change your self-image to allow for the possibility of looking good ;-D

I know it's difficult - why do you think I only have two photos of myself in more than a hundred userpics?
