Altogether too much fun stuff there. Addictive.

Pretty good day -- I took a walk at lunchtime that brought me past a coffee place (iced mocha) and an Indian buffet restaurant (saved for later). Also a Greek place and several others. It may not be the greatest area to walk in for scenery and solitude, but at least there's plenty of food to replace the calories you burn off. Um...

On the gripping hand, here's an article noting that air pollution could increase risk of suicide (because of a feedback loop between asthma and depression). "People with depression are known to be worse at managing chronic diseases by taking prescribed drugs and following other medical advice – potentially causing a spiral of physical and mental deterioration." Just what I need.

The really fun thing was when one of my coworkers brought in the Martin backpacker that he keeps in his truck. I think I impressed him and another coworker with my fingerpicking. You'd think Jake had never seen Travis picking before. Youngsters!

Some more links under the cut, including some video of talks on ted.com. That site could be positively addictive, and I probably shouldn't go there very often.

In his defense, when you want a fire constructed or extinguished at a camp, he's one to do it well.
