Looks like some interesting architecture work coming down the pike from
    $boss. I suspect that's not a coincidence.

Took a walk after lunch with $grandboss -- a good discussion. I mentioned feeling somewhat out of the loop on design and decisionmaking. A couple of hours $boss came over and told me about the upcoming SDK project he expects me to be working on after the current stuff, involving a lot of architecture and high-level design. Coincidence? Probably not.

Some progress on the actual coding, and got a vital piece of internal API nailed down in the morning. Definitely some communication problems.

Some good links. I'm not sure which is scarier: National Organization For Marriage Activist Holds Sign Suggesting Gay Couples Should Be Lynched or Climate Change Could Push Millions on Mexicans Into United States. If those are too heavy for this hour of the morning, try I know why the vampire sparkles!. Referral credits and another link under the cut, as usual.

Sounds like NOM was none too pleased with the guy, no more so than regular Christians are with Fred Phelps' shenanigans.

While I think much of Mexican immigration is still economically based, some of it is probably due to the cartel chaos there as well, which leads to laws like the Arizona one as a reaction, as the border states get the overflow. The theoretical solution is to try and make Mexico a better place to live, which was part of the thinking behind NAFTA that didn't work out as planned.
