It says something, I suppose, that for the second year in a row I've let August 4th slip by almost unnoticed. If Moira hadn't mentioned something last night, I probably would have.

Our stillborn middle daughter, Amethyst Rose, would have turned 20 yesterday. You'll find the full collection of annual posts here.

To answer your questions: Yes, I'm really OK. No, I don't mind talking about her. I don't think a child I loved should ever be forgotten, even if I never got to touch her. My next CD will be called Amethyst Rose, and I hope to get back to putting down scratch tracks this weekend.

Thanks for listening.

Our stillborn daughter, Selena Marie, would have been 18 last month...I miss her still and think of her often, especially when looking at our son. Though I wish I could have had the emotional strength to hold her, at least I have pictures and husband did hols her to say good-bye for us both.

Much Love, Many Hugs and Many Blessings,
Shadowe

I understand, thinking back I should have held Selena, but I was so deep in grieving, I didn't want to do anything but sleep and forget...I still get that way sometimes...April, July and August are very hard months for me..

Belated *HUGS* for you, Sir Bruin, and Colleen.

I think I came to alt.callahans around about that time - no doubt Google Groups could be persuaded to tell me when exactly. The World Wide Web was a box on Tim Berners-Lee's desk at CERN, and most folks got online using dial-up modems. And "online" meant CompuServe, AOL or some other walled garden, or a BBS if you had one nearby - you had to be in the right place at the right time to know about the Internet, as I recall. ;)
