Hmm... it felt like a busy day. Oh, right. Walk, shopping, dinner, laundry, dishes, laundry... ok.

Not a bad day, but not especially good, either. I felt vaguely down, dissatisfied, and out of sorts during my walk; it probably bled over into the rest of the day. And although I liked dinner, nobody else did. So that was kind of disappointing, too.

Oh, well. On the good side, Colleen appears to be getting back some feeling in her guts. (Exactly where in her guts would, I suspect, be TMI.) So that's very good, or has the potential to be. This is a year and a quarter after the surgery, mind; I'm not going to hold my breath. But it's hopeful indeed.

Lots of good links under the cut, as usual.

That story about Vitaminwater makes me think that they added Extract of Schroedinger's Cat to the drink, since it can apparently be a health drink and not a health drink simultaneously. :|

The steampunk wheelchair made me think of Doc Brown from "Back To The Future" - when he's too old and infirm to drive either the DeLorean or the loco, that is what he'd travel in! :D

last week Santa Clara County began spraying to kill mosquitoes because West Nile has been found in local birds.

my nose began to stop up and energy dropped almost right away. i seem to be recovering this week. my only treatment was a corned beef sandwich with lots of horseradish at Max's opera cafe at Stanford.

Hope you feel better soon! good news about Colleen.
