Somehow last week I managed to completely misread both my presentation-dry-run schedule (our group is Thursday morning, not Wednesday) and my mother's itinerary (she's leaving on Friday, not Thursday). Now, it's possible that I simply mis-transcribed them when I sent myself that reminder email (my main calendar is at work). Or maybe I'm just getting old and feebleminded.
I get up each morning and I dust off my wits
Then I look in the paper and read the obits
And if I'm not there, I know I'm not dead
So I eat a good breakfast and jump back in bed
(From a song, the title of which I've (appropriately) forgotten, learned off an old Weavers album.)

Great song. The title is "My Get Up And Go Has Got Up And Went" :)

"In spite of it all, I'm able to grin / When I think of the places my get up has been"

Yup, 'tis a good song. And I've had days like that, although I get the kids to school first ;)
