  * awake 5:30ish; snuggle with an unhappy Colleen. We need to talk more.
  * up 6:30; W=196.8; drugs, nose, teeth; laundry, dishes, coffee
" me: I've heard of cutting off your nose to spite your face. How about
cutting off your nose just to _get rid of the damned nose_?
  "
  * short (15 min) but brisk walk. Cool, breezy.
& much of the day on IM with distant coworkers. Good progress through mild
    insanity.

& floorcleaning. Hard on the back. Changed Colleen's sheet. Tiring.
More tiring than I would have expected. Ouchgrump.
& spent entire evening in LR with Colleen.
  * bath 10:45; bed ~11:30; snuggle

It felt like a very long day, mostly at work. Much of it was spent on IM with coworkers, one at home in Alameda and one off-site in Detroit. We got a lot done, but...

Much physical work in the evening. More tiring than I think it would have been a few years ago. Ooof.

I spent the entire evening in the living room with Colleen, rather than holing up in the office as I usually do.

Quote of the day, from me: "I've heard of cutting off your nose to spite your face. How about cutting off your nose just to get rid of the damned nose?" I have a lot of trouble with congestion, you see.

Signal boost for You just broke your child. Congratulations. Other links under the cut.

Not really recommended. Michael Jackson tried that. Didn't turn out too well.

I'd like to cut off my nose some days, too--it doesn't seem to be doing a very good job.

I boosted the signal on You just broke your child, for which I thank you.
The best thing anyone ever did for me when I was stressed out and trying to handle Arthur--she distracted Arthur so I could do what I needed to do. I have been doing that for other moms since then. The moms relax a bit, and do what needs doing at the store, etc.

I'm waiting for medical nanobots that will go up my nose, into my sinuses, scrape out all the gunk, carry it off to the disposal area, polish the insides of my sinuses, and apply a coat of sealer so they never get clogged again.

Having awoken with a sinus headache, I'm with you on the nose thing. Crying over broken children is making it more stuffed up. Amazing blog post.
