I've always found the sequence x[n]=n-1947 to be an excellent predictor of my age in any given future year. Numerical coincidences (like 10/10/10 for today's date, and Pi Day = 3/14) are always entertaining but have no other significance.

I just thought I'd mention another numerical thing that's still over a year away but is worth noting because of its rarity: November 11, 2011, will be six of the same digit: 11/11/11. And at eleven seconds after 11:11 am you'll have even more of the same digit.

That won't come up again until the year 2111.

Were they into that kind of stuff nine hundred years ago, around 11/11/1111?
