A very good couple of days, mainly because I got a major chunk of server-side software handed off to the QA guy and the developer setting up the staging server, and helped them get it working. It's a little disconcerting to know that it would have gone a lot more smoothly if the client and server teams had actually been talking to one another, instead of just me talking to both sides and dropping the occasional piece of info on the floor.

Got in some reasonable walking yesterday. Overate Thursday, going out for Indian buffet with coworkers for lunch and Mexican for dinner with the Cat.

Installed Ubuntu 10.10 on a flash drive and booted it on my netbook; very slow boot due to the CD-ROM simulation, and it failed to install the WiFi driver. Grump. Hopefully there's a newer version of the driver that actually works.

Got to have a short talk with the new-this-week VP of Engineering.

Quite a few good links. I'll probably be making use of A web-focused Git workflow at some point soon.
