I've been very busy at work -- very productive, but busy. I worked with the integration team to get the client-server code that consumed most of the last few months finally working. It would have been a lot easier if the device and server people had been talking to one another, but as the author of the little perl script that sits in the middle I was able to do all the necessary impedance matching in a couple of lines.

That allowed me to finally get back to the matter of cropping and scaling pages to fit them on a smaller screen with tighter margins than the original author intended. Did I mention that I hate PDF?

I could have taken walks at lunchtime, but Monday's was eaten up running errands, and Tuesday's was spent swapping tunes with our new tech writer, who turns out to be a multi-instrumentalist. Fun!

My weight was back down to 194 this morning, and I'm sleeping a lot better (and more, unfortunately, which really throws off my day) now that I've taken to using afrin before bedtime.

I'm looking for a decongestant that actually works without putting me to sleep, raising my blood pressure, or drying me out to the point of nosebleeds. Chili pepper seems to work pretty well, though only briefly -- maybe I should empty out my afrin bottle and load it up with Tabasco sauce?
