Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for...

• My family (which includes the cats).
• Warm blankets.
• Comfort food (also includes coffee, tea, and hot buttered rum).
• Not having to cook dinner very often. (I can cook, and even cook decently well, but G does most of the cooking in the family, and I'm very grateful for it.)
• Some discord servers, including our private family one.

In any weather -- I seem to start feeling cold in the late afternoon or evening regardless of the weather or the room temperature.

One thing that has helped me is that I bought two pairs of those thermal inserts for your shoes-- they're reflective on the side that your foot touches, and well padded. One goes in my usual outdoor shoes, but I put the other in my slippers. That, alone, has made the whole house feel warmer to me. Then again, I'm still wearing turtlenecks when it's 70F, so I feel cold most of the year.

I get it. I have a long fleece nightgown that is soft and warm. The cats like sleeping on it. I also have a soft fleece robe that Chris swipes for its warmth and softness.
