Somehow I got the weekend wrong when applying for vacation time for my next trip to Seattle, but fortunately cross-checked before I hit the submit button on my plane tickets. So it'll be the weekend after Mother's Day after all. I will not be going to Norwescon this year.
I ought to get some scratch tracks down before then.
I also got pointed to the Online Alexithymia Questionnaire. You have to download it and read it from your local disk in order to get the scoring javascript code, which I really don't understand. Maybe the blog site strips out javascript? Anyway, I scored 145, so even if some of my answers were marginal or just plain wrong I'd probably still be well above the threshold of 115. I didn't expect it to be quite so clearcut.
Some of the questions suggest that I ought to be asking other people what they would be feeling in a given situation, or what they think I'm feeling. I don't, but that's because I'm also very shy, not because I don't need the feedback.
So two broad classes of links today: the assorted alexithymia links, and some relating to Android measured at over 50% U.S. smartphone market share. Also in Japan. (IOS is still ahead, so far, but only if you count both iPods and iPads.)
Clear cut the other way
