" Sometimes it would seem that the Greeks believed above all things in
reverence, only they had nobody to revere. But the point of the puzzle
is this, that all this vagueness and variation arise from the fact that
the whole thing began in fancy and in dreaming; and that there are no
rules of architecture for a castle in the clouds.

The coworker I've been having trouble communicating with announced good progress -- on the fairly simple set of tasks I've been trying to get him to do for at least six months. I must talk to him today and find out what finally got it to click. Also persuade him to check in the damned code. On a branch. This shouldn't be difficult.

I skipped most of my walk in favor of tasty spring rolls at the Beige Building half a block away, having cleverly forgotten to eat before setting out.

A fun little exchange on twitter; I'm getting better at noticing when I'm having fun. It remains to be seen how far this will go, but I'm cautiously optimistic about my progress. I'm also getting better at asking for what I need. Slightly.

Quite a few good links. The Three Micahs: Pricing (or, the 99 Cent E-Book), Part 1 is well worth a read, and if you're an artist, writer, or musician and haven't been following that series, you should start.

Quote of the day is one of my old favorites that I finally tracked down; it's a little different from the way my father remembered it, but... "there are no rules of architecture for a castle in the clouds."
