Hmm. A whole lot of links, two bolded items, and one in italics. I'm ok, but it sure was a mixed day.

My walk was a short one; maybe 20 minutes, but the weather was nice and I found myself wishing I had time for more.

I have been asked to take over $subsystem from (clueless coworker) S. I really didn't want to do that, but I should have read the writing on the wall months ago. He'll probably be useful somewhere else in the company, but on this project he's been out of his depth since day one. *sighs* That's what I get for designing something tricky and subtle. And for being lousy at supervising. Really lousy.

As I was pulling things together to go home, Naomi called needing to be sung to. I called her back while we were waiting for dinner to finish cooking; it helped her a lot, especially singing along on songs she knows well. It doesn't work all that well over the phone, but...

So... mixed. Very mixed. Today will be better, I think.

The Three Micahs: Pricing (or, the 99 Cent E-Book), Finale (also here on LJ) is the link of the day. Others in the notes as usual.

Off topic--I realize you're busy, but when you get a chance could you check out my latest mp3 and see if it has the same noise you mentioned in one of the earlier mp3s? I did this one in Audacity (which hopefully didn't dial down the sample rate) and would like an external check on the results.

Thanks for your time.

Thank you!

Could I maybe get your help with Audacity at some point? I am trying to add a VST plug-in for reverb and it's not showing up.

I think GVerb is available for Macs but it is also a VST plug-in. And I think the problem is getting the VST bridge to work, in which case no VST plug-in will work.

Well, thank you.

Thanks for the page--yes, I've read it.

"Restarting" a program just means quitting it and starting it again, right? Cmd-Q and then double-click to re-open?

Because I've done all that stuff. :-(
