  * YD has school in the morning.
: cold, overcast, and dreary in the morning. Cleared nicely by lunchtime.
  * short but brisk walk, with Beige Building spring rolls way better
than TJ's: fresher and the sauce is spicier. They're also compact and
spillproof, so I can get them before they sell out and take with.

Tasty, not too expensive. Very slow service.
: grump. Sound broken on squeeze. So is chrome -- rather badly.
Actually, only the Delta 66 is broken. But that's hw:0, so :(

It didn't feel like a very productive day. It was cold and dreary in the morning, though it cleared up enough for a brisk walk at lunchtime. The cafe in the building next door is run by Koreans -- they had bib-bim-bob as their special today. I passed it up for the spring rolls, which have the advantage of being portable and leakproof, thus letting me continue my walk. They come with a nice, very spicy sauce.

Went out in the evening with Colleen since I'll be away on Thursday, our usual date night. After driving to a nearby Cuban place, which was unexpectedly closed, we ended up at Peacock, an Indian place at the corner of El Camino and Keily. Yum. Garlic naan (I only had a little bit, but yum!), mushroom mutter, goat curry, vegetable korma. The appetizer was a pair of lentil-based donuts with a trio of yummy dipping sauces, and desert was kheer and gulab josh. Tasty, and not terribly expensive.

My mention of a desire to keep most of our dinners out on the inexpensive side triggered tears from Colleen; much of that was just being hungry, but there's also some lingering envy of my visit to the Herb Farm with Callie and Naomi. Planning a visit of our own is going to be a bit tricky, and will probably get paired with next year's Norwescon.

Squeeze is disappointing in spots -- Google chrome is flaky, and output via my Delta 66 soundcard is broken. Since the 66 is my _main_ soundcard, that's a problem. Probably could be fixed by a scratch re-install, but...

Both of the day's links involved security. If you're running Skype on a Mac, or OpenID on your website, you need to upgrade.

Thank you for the heads-up on Skype for Mac. I don't much use it since my husband and I are no longer in a long-distance relationship, but nuking any vulnerability is a Good Thing.
