Help!!

If anyone out there has any idea how to make a computer running Windows 7 print to CUPS running on Debian Squeeze, please help. I'm baffled. It used to work fine with XP.

Right now the only viable fallback plan is to buy the YD a printer.

I'm not getting "access denied" messages; Windows apparently can't contact the host at all. The "troubleshoot" runs through a big list of tests, displays no results, and ends up saying "contact system administrator"

I haven't tried the local printer thing; I don't recall that ever working. I've always used the URL http://nova-w:631/printers/lp

Hmm. Maybe I should try the firewall settings -- I couldn't find them when I looked.

No dice. Also tried switching to the other subnet; it found the network printer, but not the CUPS printers, and couldn't talk to the server even when told where to look.

Could it be a firewall problem? Windows 7 has an aggressive internal firewall.

Home, I believe. She has a copy of Pro on order because she needs XP mode for some of her games.
