A good day. Went up to Menlo Park to talk to JB, who will be my boss once I move back. Turns out his group will be moving to Cupertino in September, so we settled on the Tuesday after Labor Day as move-in day. So that's settled.

A lot of the pain in my neck seems to be easing up. It also responds to relaxation exercises. So there may be a connection there.

Also in the realm of connections that might just be coincidences, but probably aren't, nobody is officially connecting the fact that work's DNS was screwed up yesterday morning with the fact that the recently-departed head of IT had the registration in his personal GoDaddy account. But all our passwords had to be changed, regardless.

Apparently nobody above him in the food chain had ever managed an IT person before. Let alone fired one. Amateurs!

Ya know. Craig just stated "what a idiot." He is a little disgusted that this person was working and he is not.

I on the other hand, have been playing geek speak to code monkeys who usually speak in other languages.. Hindu, Urdu, etc. It seems geek speak is an universal language.

It looks like I have a road to Eureka, CA in the next couple of days for work. They offered me a plane ticket and rented car. No way, jose will I ever take a paddle-jumper again. Between Cape Air.. (New York to Hyannis, MA) and going to El Centro in the late 80's twice.... icky...
