Songs for Saturday: I Had A Shuggoth
2011-10-08 10:58 amI was pondering what to post this morning. It's not that I was in an unusually weird mood, but this video of Tom Smith singing "I Had A Shoggoth" popped into my head. Ok, now my mood is unusually weird. The best thing about this one is the amazing Judi Miller signing it. Never having heard it before!
Warning: not keyboard-safe. Put your drink down in a safe place.

Oh: And I had also thought of that tune*, but it seemed less likely there. Like I could predict Tom Sith, yeah.
*Which I seem to recall as starting with a bird, but it hardly matters. ... May have been off a Burl Ives record from before Tom was born.

Date: 2011-10-09 10:47 pm (UTC)I'd used octopus tentacles for "shoggoth", figuring it to be Cthulian in origin. So when Cthulu appeared later, I had a momentary freeze, until I made it GIANT octopus tentacles under the chin!
The little asides, like "Children of the night -- shut up!" about slayed me.

Currently laughing almost loud enough to scare the hubby. But he is used to mad giggles from the office. :D
