Last weekend was Pride, and Naomi took me to the Capitol Hill block party on Saturday -- fun! I took Colleen's rolling walker, which has a seat. That meant that while N was talking to someone, I could sit down -- that made it all possible.

My leg is healing -- right now all the pain is coming from the muscles that are compensating for the damaged one. I'll probably continue using the cane for the rest of the week.

I spent most of Sunday on move-related stuff, clearing out the last of what was in the laundry room and fridge. Fortunately I had Chaos and N's ex to do the sorting and carrying. So, not as much fun as Pride would have been, but it needed doing.

At work, I moved back into the building I started out in. Meanwhile, I've gotten pretty good at using the cane to push the wheelchair access buttons.

  : ok, it _wasn't_ the power brick.  Nova was just turned off.  Weird.
    Apparently a normal shutdown, too.  Power fail?  Anyway, back on.
  * 11:15 meet N at Cortiva for Capitol Hill block party
    Fun!  We put Colleen's walker in the car, which made things really easy for
    me.  I could take short breaks sitting down while N. was talking to people
    (and one longer one while she was getting her hair braided), and got through
    a couple of hours with no trouble.
  * update resume (the short TeX version)  Added Amazon; PIA under
    publications.  Now 3 pages.
  : In slight auto accident on the way back from Seattle; no car damage; N and I
    both had headaches, but the went away after a while.
  &  totally lazy afternoon, dozing with a cat on my lap.  This is probably a
     Good Thing, even though it felt very unproductive.

  * Massage from N, concentrating on legs, hips, and lower back.  Big win,
    though I promptly twinged the tear a little afterward.  But only a twinge.

  * (mostly) clean out N's fridge, freezer, and laundry room.  Meet C there; she
    helped sort, and took a good number of items that I would otherwise have
    lugged back with me.
  * bring Colleen her reading glasses (from -nightstand- _walgreen's_)
  * Safeway on the way home.

    like using a cane on steps and curbs, but definitely healing.
