Hmm. Is tonight's major psychological breakthrough the fact that I'm feeling contented, or the fact that I actually noticed it?

My major news for the week is definitely that I had an interview for going full time at Amazon. And scheduled an interview and a phone screen for tomorrow. One way or another, I expect to spend the next few years as a full-time employee. Somewhere.

My major news. THE major news is Nelson Mandela's death. Sadness.

  & two massive cleanups; something she ate apparently disagreed with her.
  ! weary but basically ok, I think.
  * Costco, BB+B, Walgreens.  More tiring than fun.  Wanted Target also, but parking was
    jammed.  Costco and BBB actually lighter than usual.  Assorted supplies, nuts;
    refilled my scrip for fluticasone proprionate, got a covered garbage can for the
    downstairs bathroom, a grab bar for the doorway by the stairs, and an 8" glass lid,
    among other things.
  & Messy cleanup that at least waited until Colleen got upstairs and into bed.

  : Stairlift broken:  it hangs up on the hinge.  :(  If it turns out that the hinge isn't
    rated for the same weight as the rest of it, I will Have Words with Acorn, and have
    them replace it with a straight rail.  At their expense.
  * 12:15 expect call from Grant Tegtmeier
  : Several items, mostly stocking-stuffers, arrived from Amazon today.  One, a
    fold-flat nail-clipper from TrueUtility, came in a nifty waterproof box.

  * Acorn repair guy showed up at 9am.  Turns out the problem was that the hinged section
    wasn't opening all the way -- he moved the rail up about an inch to get the bottom end
    off the floor, and that did it.
