Hmm. I see it's been two weeks since I last posted a "done" post. I've been mostly stressed and depressed, though today has been pretty good for some reason.

I've been doing quite a lot of puttering and other housework. It probably helps my mood -- at least in the short term: it's clearly a distraction from the really nasty problems. Most of which involve money, and are going to get worse until we can sell the Starport. Offer me 800K and it's yours.

Two weeks is too much to summarize. Looking back over it, I've actually done a fair amount. Just... not so much in comparison to what still needs doing. And not enough to make me feel good about myself.

{Stop it, Bear. You're not helping.}

Don't know which of my inner voices that was, but it's right.

Last night's Vixy and Tony concert was good, and Colleen has been walking more.

Links and a little commentary in the notes.

  * bought halibut steaks for dinner. 3 big steaks for 6 people. A bit of sticker shock,
    but it's only about $14/person.
  * 15min: down in the garage. Cleared a box, which contained duffle bags, backpacks,
two guitar stands, and a floor lamp. Put the floor lamp together. Found Plink's
    (newer, official) case.
  * fix Colleen's teapot/cup - the pot's handle had broken in a fall.  Not a very good
    fix, but it'll work.

& spent most of the day struggling with the code I wrote at work yesterday. It was
working when I left, but it's broken now and I can't figure out why.
& drive with Colleen. Down to the First St. Bridge, up 99 to the Aurora Bridge (looking
for the troll, but I took a wrong turn), back via the Freemont Bridge, Westlake,
    Denny, and I5.
% 7:40 I need a cat on my lap. Not in very good shape physically, mentally, or
    financially.
& finally backed out my changes and started again; not clear why it was failing.
Weird. Still not back to where it was.

@ Your Sensitive Information Could Be at Risk: File Sync and Share Security Issue
" Consumer file sync and share applications are used by millions of people to quickly
exchange information among friends, family and coworkers. Most users are under the
false assumption that the links they share are impossible for others to uncover,
even when they fail to set access controls properly. In addition, most are unaware
that some free products don’t provide the capability to secure files
adequately. Some free systems, including Dropbox, do not support privacy
settings. We notified Dropbox about this issue when we first uncovered files, back
in November 2013, to give them time to respond and deal with the problem. They sent
a short response saying, “we do not believe this is a vulnerability. "

: Colleen doing extremely well. Used her walker inside all day for the second day in a
row, and went out gardening (on the scooter)
: Royal Amethyst planted. Two more roses need to be put in.
  * Got the screening up on the deck. Not clear that it's going to be effective enough.
Had to go out and get another 16' -- left about 1' open. No problem.
  * Out for dinner and drive -- Duke's Chowder House at South Center. There via 99; back
by very circuitous back roads with a little 99 in between.

Betsy starting off the second half with a lovely complex thing called "Fairy Ring"
Some problems with sound balamce -- hard to hear the lyrics -- but excellent anyway.

Steve, just FYI, I know I don't comment on these posts much but I always look forward to seeing them in my LJ feed, reading what you've been up to, and exploring the links in the raw notes, so thanks for sharing.
