A bit of a rough week, but with several high spots. The first of which was brunch with Colleen and Emmy at Salty's -- a local seafood place with a fantastic buffet on weekends. Turns out I get a senior discount. :P

I am cautiously optimistic about my mood, between selling the house and starting on l-tryptophan. I think it's generally better, but it's also more volatile -- I run out of cope and go into overload. Not good. Especially because it upsets Colleen, which sets up a positive feedback loop. (Positive in the feedback sense -- it has negative consequences, of course.)

Another high point was music night, Thursday after dinner. The original plan had been for a new friend of N's to come join us, but she ended up canceling. We had fun anyway -- playlist in the notes. We've decided to do it more often, and N is setting things up to spend more time in the Great Room. Which means I have to fix the control on the broken lift chair that we parked there.

To which end I tracked down a soldering iron. The one I bought because I couldn't find my good one, which is still in a box somewhere.

Looking at the notes, I seem to have been pretty productive this week. So... ok.

% (I'm going to start putting laundry and dishes back on the list because I'm feeling
     useless and unproductive again.)
  * 15min: swapped outlet extenders between stairway and Rainbow Room (where it made more
sense to have one that screws into the wall). Moved phone base stations and dsl modem
to UPS (finally!) That still leaves two routers unprotected. One is just a
simple matter of an extension cord. Problem is it's a daisy-chain rather than a
proper star, because it's all too easy to use the routers as ethernet switches.
... now down to one (West), because I want an extension cord the right length.
    ... 8:35 done.

  * 15min: brought up a box of fabric from the garage.
  * 12:15 brunch at Salty's with Colleen and Emmy
-> excellent! And I get a senior discount! Pricy, but worth it.
  * Southcenter. Took the scooter battery pack in to Batteries Plus, but it checked out
ok. I suspect the controller, then. :( Tiring. I can't walk as much as I used to.
  * 15min: changed the bulb on the NE corner floodlight. LED. Now we have light on the
back stairs, which is a win. (Glenn had noticed that we had a light there...)
  * definitely a hot buttered rum night. Cold.
  * 15min: make that two boxes of fabric.
  * Ordered razor blades, CPAP forehead spacers.
~ Trying to figure out where my damned 7" tablet went. Might be upstairs; I know it was
there a while ago, and I've looked pretty much everyplace else.
    -> found -- in my suitcase :P
  * Bath - definitely helped both with sleep and pain

: The new lift chair has a problem: it gets under the bottom shelf. Needs to be either
far enough out to go down all the way, or close enough to rest on the shelf and not go
down. Colleen would probably be more comfortable with the latter.

  * Out for a drive with Colleen. Very unsatisfactory; a couple of very tight parking
areas and I got overloaded. Bailed on TJ's, which was the second one. Made Colleen
upset, which makes things worse for me. Up until then I was doing ok, though.

  * Resurrected Stargate, the former Linux router, and upgraded. We are unlikely to be
using it as a router; it would make a decent backup machine if the backup drive
is still usable (suspect that the write problem might be a timeout in the usb driver
rather than any problem with the drive itself).
