Hmm. It's kind of late, and I haven't updated yet. I also see that many of my daily notes are sketchy, which means I've mostly been working.

I have been doing some home stuff; mainly a long-overdue overhaul of my build system (which, for those who care, is all based on GNU make). And my major accomplishment for the week: writing and posting a Poem: In Your Arms.

The washer installation has been put off again; it is now scheduled for this coming Saturday.

    have to reschedule.  Again.
  * Fighting with FB on Colleen's behalf, teaching her how to not send game invitations.
    It's hopeless, because you have to block each new game individually.
  * dealt with the suitcases.  Both emptied; Colleen's has a broken zipper, so declared it
    dead.  More puttering in the closet.
  * 15min: updated Makefiles in Private.
  * 15min: 2 loads of laundry brought up (all N, G)   The load of Colleen's that's down
    there will have to be double-washed.  Now 3.

  * 15min: More work stomping on nautilus to keep it from showing the desktop (which
    interferes with conky).  Fixed on Trantor and Nova.  Cygnus actually uses desktop
    icons, but not conky, so that's ok.
  * 15min: puttering to swap two extension cords, ending up with a flat plug and a
    comparatively short extension cord in the Great Room behind the buffet, and the squid
    that used to be there under the stairs.
  * Put entry templates in the depends.make files for directories that have them.
    This makes it possible to expand variables in the template.
  * To Bothell with N to fetch the curio cabinet; stop on the way back at Safeway for
    dinner fixings & goat food
  * dinner: beef Stroganoff
  * more work on entry templates:  parametrize Music/depends.make

    That's what I get for having bacon from Whole Foods for breakfast yesterday.
  & discussion with N about upcycling projects around the house for ramping up.
  : 110V outlet installed in upstairs laundry closet.  OTOH he didn't install the fan's
    wall switch, but instead took the one out of the remote and used that.  Not helpful.

    from work, but never got to it.  Will do it via VPN.

  & trying to figure out what Giselle could *possibly* have done with the rack that fits
    in the sink and keeps plates from blocking the drain.
    -> in the dishwasher.  Have to remember that she often washes it.
  * Work on Tools/make and the older recording-related makefiles.  Lots of good cleanup.

Keeping the dishrack clean is a good idea, I think.
