I hate plumbing!

The kitchen sink has been draining slowly for weeks; I finally had some time this afternoon to go out to the cleanout (on the less-accessible side of the house, of course) and ran twenty-odd feet of snake into it. As usual, it was clogged in several places by thick plugs of grease and foul-smelling gunk. As usual, it took what seemed like an eternity of uncomfortable kneeling. As usual, I just left the snake lying out on the ground in hopes that insects would come along and eat the globs of gunk off it.

At least we have a cleanout now. Could be worse.
