So many projects, so little time

Things I need to do this week:

• Set up video recorder software on one of my PCs
• Recording -- see next item
• Finish the current round of software upgrades on the home PCs
• Give blood (scheduled for this evening)
• Get my lab work done at Kaiser

Things I need to try & record:

• Tracks for my planned CDs
• Preservation copies of old, irreplacable audio tapes
• Vinyl records that don't look like they're ever going onto CD

Things I want to do this week & can't:

• Go to the Avalon Rising concert at the King's Head (not enough time or $$)
• Start replacing our ancient CRT monitors with LCDs (not enough $$)
• Get that blasted tablet computer working at work (hardware trouble?)

Things I hope to achieve sometime before next year:

• Get my CD off to the duplicator's
• Get my current work project (a web server with encrypted document storage and peer-to-peer mirroring, among other things) released as open source
• Get my current home software project (the website makefiles) into sharable shape.
• Set up the revised version of PenguinSong.net
• Clean up the garage and office.
• Yard work.
