Every once in a while I actually write something. Not as often as I should, I suppose. This particular essay is about Why I Shop At Fry's

I always respond to the folks who rage against Fry's.

Why do you keep going back?

Frys is the grocery store of electronics stores. Do you ask the guy stocking peas, which is the better brand? Which wine goes best with veal?

If you don't know what you want or need, pay the 10-20% extra to get help at good guys, circuit city and dedicated computer store.

You want prices that rival mail order, go to Frys.

As I say, the prices get me in the door, but I sometimes leave wondering why I bother. It's when I think of their exchange policy, or contrast the consistent, informative way their ads list prices with almost anyone else's, that I really appreciate Fry's.
