Thankful Thursday

Um, ... okay; this will be the first gratitude post of 2018. Whether there will be another next week is unknown at this point. Anyway, today I am thankful for:

• Living through 2017. There were times when I wasn't sure.
• My family, especially Colleen and N. See above -- they're the reason I was able to.
• ... assisted by (housekeeper) T and (caregiver) V; also their predecessors G', G", and M'. I may have to start using subscripts.
• A reasonably generous retirement package from Amazon, and having the good sense to take it.
• Whidbey Island.
• The Younger Daughter and her fiancé. She has become a very together young person.
• Coffee. (To a lesser extent: gin, whiskey, chocolate, tofu, and basmati rice.)
• A freezer with a functioning icemaker and door-mounted ice and cold water dispensers.
• Singing lessons.

they tried to kill us. They failed. LET'S EAT! :)

And Whidbey is really a thing of beauty.
