I'm not sure whether I've posted Colleen's fudgie recipe on its own. If I did, I neglected to tag it, so here it is anyway.
* fudgies; (double batch) - takes ~1h 2c powdered sugar 4c - opt: 50% powdered milk 3/8c cocoa powder 3/4c 1/4c butter 1/2c (1 stick) 2 1/4tsp vanilla extract 4 1/2tsp 3/4c rolled oats 1 1/2c 1c peanut butter 2c 1/4c grated white cheese 1/2c Combine dry ingredients; add {,peanut} butter, plus a little milk if necessary.

Also it looks like some of the instructions are missing.

Date: 2018-05-25 09:32 pm (UTC)I usually use mozzerella -- it's readily available already grated. Jack or white cheddar also work, but probably not as well.
As it says, combine the cocoa powder, sugar, powdered milk if you're using it, and oats; mix; add the cheese, vanilla, butter, and peanut butter (the exact order doesn't matter at all). Add a little milk if they don't hold together.
The original recipe dates back to when Colleen was working in an elementary school kitchen -- the idea was to use up ingredients that they were getting cheap from the government as a result of farm subsidies.
