Yes, and I'll probably add an easy way of making stand-alone SVGs; React et. al. can do server-side rendering as well, and in fact there are a few articles out there about making stand-alone SVGs with them.
What I find much more problematic is the fact that you can put JavaScript into PDFs. They were supposed to be a safer version of Postscript...
