Colleen - status

Colleen's labs came back clean yesterday -- no infection. We've scheduled her discharge for Friday afternoon.

Since the end of February she's been home twice: once for about two weeks, and once for about four hours (for RainbowCon). No telling how long she'll be home this time; I'm trying to be optimistic but don't have much practice at it. We'll take it one day at a time and try to make good use of whatever time we have.

I'm very happy to hear that Colleen is infection-free, and I hope she stays that way for a long time. Be patient with her; when someone has been that sick, it takes them a while to get back to the way they were before (I'm still not all the way back myself). Get her to sing as loud as she can - that's both physically and mentally good for her. (Here's a song I find pretty inspiring - "I've never been accused of being normal anyway...")
