Thankful Thursday

Today I am grateful for:

1. Colleen, who is scheduled to come home tomorrow,
2. My sister N, who takes good care of me by reminding me to care for myself, at times like this when self-care is the farthest thing from my mind,
3. Finally overcoming my procrastination enough to get (car)Molly serviced (plus the fact that cars without internal combustion engines need a great deal less of it),
4. You, my readers, who occasionally have to put up with complicated and clumsy sentence fragments like the previous item,
5. Not to mention my habit of ending list items with commas or semicolons,
6. My writing gig, which is now in the hands of the editor,
7. Our excellent cats.

The other items are fine, too, but "congratulations" does not seem to be the correct sentiment for those.
