A bunch of old LJ passwords had already been stolen. They were sent with the "I caught you on webcam watching porn" scam, to try to add plausibility to the claim of knowing the victim's identity.

Not surprising. This breach dates to 2015 and I seem to recall an earlier one as well.

I've been getting that specific spam for over a year, but my ISP told me not to worry about it, because my login with them is different.
