It's been a busy exhausting week, but things seem to be going more-or-less okay now. Colleen has her new glasses, the sore on her butt is finally healed, the cut on her leg is being treated, the household network has survived some upgrade attempts, "Ship of Stone" finally won a Pegasus(!) and best of all my nibling, m, is home. I'm not complaining. (Except about ongoing router problems, chronic lack of sleep, and C's Crohn's disease. There's a connection between the last two.)

The network problems are frustrating; there still doesn't appear to be a good way to put the laser printer, which wants to connect via Ethernet, on the WiFi network -- I've tried several different ways to bridge it, and it mostly works, but it can't handle long print jobs. Bletch. Obviously the printer's buffer is filling up, but isn't TCP/IP supposed to be able to take care of that? Grumble.

Feeling good is unfamiliar -- I keep thinking I'm probably doing it wrong.

    -> still not connecting.  WTF? -> about half a day of not connecting while trying
       various permutations.
    -> works fine with the _non-upgraded_ box it was connected to before.  :P
  ~ upgrade DD-WRT routers (gw, wap3) -- they're out of date (build 27745; wap1 is 40559)
    simplest:  swap wap3 and wap1, upgrade wap3.
    -> Upgrading wap3 (or possibly just changing hardware) causes trouble with the WiFi
       link to wap2.  Reverting.
    ?  whether to try upgrading gw -- and to what -- remains an open question.  risky?
  / 10pm.  dressing changes  hopefully that's good for the night; probably not.
    I don't like the look of the wound on her leg.  Stitches tore out?

    -> Thel called to say that she can't handle infections - ER right choice
    -> 4:30 infected: they took the stiches out; has to be washed daily with soap & water
    -> also has UTI; she'll get a prescription for that, and something for pain.

    -> they'll come back next week to treat the kitchen.  Clear off the counters.

  * 2pm Dr. Rochier - annual wellness visit - need new POLST.  alarm set for 1:30
  ~ 3pm drive up to Oak Harbor for CPAP supplies -> the 3-month items aren't available
    until the 27th.  :P  Supposedly they will be hand-delivered Tuesday (the 28th).  I'll
    also be getting email, which however I will have to respond to immediately.  Four
    questions: yes, yes, no, no (we'll see what they are later I guess).  Tricia.  Why
    this didn't get arranged the last two times I sent emil, who knows.

    printer.  Damned if I know what's going on.  And I still haven't tried anything long,
    which was the main problem (although L was having trouble with it too; that was also
    fixed by the switch).
