Today I am grateful for...

• Git. Especially git remote repositories serving as backup.
• My decision back in 1994 to use version control for damned near everything, and to keep it all in a single directory tree for convenience.
• A timely reminder to back up the few things that aren't (or weren't) in git repos.
• The fsck and badblocks utilities.
• Moore's law as applied to SSD prices. (With a tip of the hat to $A's next-day deliveries.)
• My position as the household's computer recycling and refurbishing service.
• Colleen's Home Health people, who are continuing to be awesome.
