Here is some useful information for people planning to vote in the upcoming (US) election.

  Vote THE SECOND you can. Do not wait even a day. By voting, it frees up GOTV (that's Get Out The Vote) efforts to focus on people who might otherwise not vote, as opposed to people who will vote, eventually. In Washington, voter rolls are updated daily, and campaigns can see within a day or two if you've been credited with casting a ballot, and then stop wasting time and money contacting you, trying to turn out your vote.

That's a serious privacy violation, knowing who's voted when... that shit can get you killed. I'll explain backchannel if you want.

I've already sent in my vote, but there's a tradeoff. It's always possible that information will show up that will change your mind about which candidate to support, if any. It could be a new revelation or just something you hadn't heard about. The earlier you vote, the greater the chance of regrets.
