Not a bad week. (I'm not sure why I hardly ever call a week "good", even when I don't remember anything bad happening. It's not as though anything depends on my word choice. Force of habit? The persistent feeling that I wouldn't be able to identify a good week if I tripped over it?)

Two good things, anyway. First, N and her kids came back from their trip out of the country, and arrived here on Thursday to do their 2-week quarantine in the box room. It's nice having them close, even if we can't get closer than shouting distance until then.

Second, one of my neighbors was selling a scooter on nextdoor.com -- basically the next size up from the one Colleen already had -- and I bought it. I'd met Jonie a couple of weeks ago while she was walking her dog, and she'd mentioned having the scooter, but I'd kind of forgotten about it. It's a Pride GoGo Sport, and it's about an inch longer and has about an inch more ground clearance than Colleen's GoGo Elite Traveller. It uses the same battery packs, which is a good thing because it needs new batteries. (Which I ordered yesterday.)

The front section on the new scooter is heavier (by maybe 5 lbs? 6.); what we may do is keep the old one in the car and use the new one in the house and around the neighborhood. I haven't been out for a st/roll with Colleen since we moved up to Whidbey; it will be nice to get back to that occasionally.

Tuesday I ordered a new blood pressure monitor (Omron, the brand my doctor recommended when I told him I'd been having trouble getting consistent readings). It arrived Thursday, and indeed is giving me reasonable-looking results. It has an option to take three readings and average them.
