The state of the FlowerCat is not particularly good. She had a contrast CAT scan yesterday; we got the results this morning. She has a fistula between her small intestine and her bladder, which is exactly as distressing as it sounds.
She also had biopsies taken during her EGD Friday; the results are supposed to be coming back tomorrow. Just to keep things interesting,...
She's going to be transferred to someplace in the UW system, probably tomorrow. Depends on when and where a bed opens up. (The doctor spent most of the afternoon calling around to the other hospitals in the area, after drawing a blank at UW in the morning. They all said UW was the only place with the expertise for this kind of surgery, so now I guess she's on a waiting list?)
Looking at UW's Coronavirus:
Visitor Policy, it's difficult to tell how often I'll be able to
visit. Probably I qualify as a caregiver. And I can certainly
visit during her surgery whenever that is. But beyond that...
Community-based care providers who are involved in the care of the
patient may visit in addition to the patient's 1 visitor for support and
care continuity
could maybe cover V. Or, arguably, me.
