So... My sleep has been irregular; most nights I wake up, read for an hour or so, then lie down again and try to sleep. Most nights I do that, and some nights I don't. On the whole I've been sleeping quite a bit more than usual. Not clear what, if anything, that indicates. I have no idea what "normal" would be for me anymore. Tuesday was, according to my CPAP, the longest I've slept since I got it (that unit, not CPAP in general) in 2018.

I've beem doing a little more music and getting my back exercises in more often; not really enough of either. Especially considering that I have a half-hour concert scheduled for a week 2 weeks from yesterday.

I'm still getting settled in at Rest Stop.

I bought a Thinkpad X230 to hopefully replace Sable, which needs its fan replaced. Or, actually, I might leave it with a broken fan and use it for recording. The new machine is Panther, and it came with Windows 10 Pro on it. I may, conceivably, have a use for it for testing, so I spent all day yesterday and much of today getting it updated. S l o o o w. We'll see how well it works with Sable's disk and more RAM. Meanwhile something went wonky on Sherman when I upgraded to Ubuntu 20.04 -- screen resolution in the display manager is really low, and I can't log in. (Console login still works, though.) I'm probably just going to wipe it and install Mint.

" Pediatric hospitalizations have dramatically increased in the past month. Yes, the

have increased the most for 0-4 year olds. Importantly, this isn’t because Delta is

It's said that interrupting sleep for an hour or so in the middle of the night used to be the norm, before social and employment demands pushed everyone into a more or less continuous night of sleep. I find myself getting up very early in the morning, then sleeping for a while after breakfast. Till recently I thought it was the cats waking me up, but I'm still following that pattern.
