It didn't feel like a particularly productive week, but it seems that we had a (somewhat shortened) band practice, I did a little guitar practicing, and I did my back exercises once.

Thursday went with N and the kids to j's school for their performance of "Little Shop of Horrors". Fun. The best singers were the two Audreys -- the girl and the plant.

I clumsily spilled some gin on Sable's keyboard; it came back the next day, but not before I'd ordered a replacement. So we'll have a spare.

I only have two weeks before c leaves for Colorado. I'm going to have trouble getting ready to move the cats. The whole idea of moving scares the heck out of me. I've had nearly a year to do this and I still haven't done much. The amount of downsizing I still have to do...

Meanwhile the US is no longer a functional democracy. It's only a matter of time -- two to four years, eight at the outside -- before the Repugnants sieze full control and roll back every bit of social progress that's been made in the last 50 years.

I haven't been sleeping well.

both cats tried to comfort me with purrs and cuddles; first Desti (I think -- it was

% 4pm still feeling exhausted; apparently a combination of dehydration (because ferry)
and the amount of standing, reaching, and bending involved in working on tent with c
: More excitement than I needed: I seem to have croggled Sable's keyboard (perhaps by
joggling my glass of gin -- must be more careful about where I put it). Most keys are
back now; maybe more later but for now I'm using a hardwired one. I also was having
trouble booting -- the arrow keys were borked (right arrow still is). It also turned
out that Mint had moved in the boot menu, so spent some time on LMDE until I figured
out what was going on. I may want to go back to LMDE now that I have Honu/Mathilda
(the Turtles?) installed. But I still want my arrow keys.
  * replacement keyboard ordered. The fact that everything appears to work except the
left and right arrows helps -- I can actually use the laptop's keyboard (carefully)
