It's been a crappy week. Not for me, personally, but for the US. It doesn't come close to canceling out. So, crappy. Friday was a total write-off, and yesterday wasn't a whole lot better. You'll find lots of useful references in the links.

The fact that I made a s4s post doesn't really count on the the plus side, because it was the third time I've had to signal-boost Cat Faber's Underground Rail. Only partly compensated by seeing that siliconshaman posted Regarding Roe v Wade being overturned. with a link to the version from the concert that N and I performed (as Lookingglass Folk) ten years ago. Just minutes before I did.

Your first link on the Internet's new creative middle class led to an interesting summary of a survey of women who went to an abortion clinic around the end of their first trimester. Tl;dr is that the ones who were turned away for being past the clinic's deadline were surprisingly like the ones who were admitted -- and 95% of all the women who had gotten abortions were glad they had. (Using "women" because the article noted that the paper had mentioned that no trans men or nonbinary people were in the cohort.)

Thanks! I'm afraid it never occurred to me to add ID3 tags to the concert recordings.

N and I have both been somewhat out of circulation recently (and I'm not sure why), but we're hoping to get back in and do some recording later this year. (We'll be performing as Kaleidofolk; adding N's kid m as harmony arranger and voice coach.)

I also need to go back and update some things on the website(s); that's another thing I've been neglecting.
