Not a good week. Or month. I don't know whether it's the Supreme (Kangaroo) Court or the proximity to the first anniversary of Colleen's death (a week from this Tuesday), or generic chronic depression and anxiety, or something else, or more likely a combination of all of the above. All I know is that I've been sleeping even less well than usual, and spending too much of my time worrying and getting very little done.

And trying (with only partial success) not to get sucked into reading the news. (I do read subject lines on email notifications a little too often for my blood pressure; that's where the "partial" comes from.)

On the other hand, I have been gradually easing back into exercise (three days this week) and music (band practice plus guitar), and I set up a laptop for K, so I can't say that I haven't gotten anything done. So there's that.

Ending on a cheerful note (or trying to), here's this week's heartwarming queer news story from MPR about 'Lesbian goth foxes,' the story of Esmae and Mala.
