Look up Leroy Anderson, who invented this style of "programmatic music" which included Sleigh Ride, PlinkPlank PLunk, Blue Tango, and many other such onomatopoeic pieces. Blue Tango was the first "non-classical, pop" piece of music my piano teacher gave me (the next one was "Alley Cat"!), and I really enjoyed the change. I knew a recording engineer (Lou Gonzalez) who could play piano (and guitar) and he could sit at the piano and fake just about any song ever composed by a human being. He was a damn good engineer also. He helped me become a radio engineer by letting me watch what he was doing when mixing a live performance by a bad cowboy band in a local bar, and letting me take a turn at it once in a while.

I already love this song, so it's got to be better with Muppets!

..and it just occurred to me that there's a whole generation, or more, who've no idea what a typewriter sounds like in person.

You have to watch quickly, but a muppet appears in the first few seconds that bears a striking resemblance to Jim Henson.
Watch for it!
