The week went pretty well, I think; certainly Thanksgiving, with N, G, their kids, and their kids' other parents, went well, and was very tasty. My mom's cranberry relish was well received as usual. And a band practice Wednesday, as much about album planning as singing, though it included both.

The best thing, though, was something I mentioned briefly on Thursday -- finding "something" of Colleen's that I'd somehow lost track of. It didn't seem necessary to get into more detail for the gratitude post, but it was one of Colleen's dresses -- cotton, faded, mostly pink floral design, with pockets. Just the thing to wear around the apartment, especially since tightening my belt to the point where my pants don't fall down puts pressure on my back. I am indescribably relieved and happy to have it back.

On the down side, I've been sleeping badly (though yesterday was an exception) with occasional bad dreams, and my left hip continued hurt most of the time. I seem to have developed a habit of falling asleep sitting up in bed in front of the computer, which wouldn't be quite so bad except that I wake up somewhere between midnight and 3am to find that my neck hurts and I haven't been wearing my facehugger. Blrg.

Meanwhile over in Birdland things continue to deteriorate; it smells distinctly musky over there. Also, if you're using twitter for 3rd party authentication, you should stop.

I haven't picked a Mastodon instance to start on, but it's getting to be about that time. There are some good suggestions and tools (e.g. Debirdify) in the links.
