Today I am grateful for...

  • Rabbit holes, which make excellent distractions. (One might argue that I don't need any more distractions, but that's not something I would be grateful for. It would be different if I were trying to get things done. Oh, wait...)
  • Cats, which also make excellent distractions. In general, cat-based distractions don't last as long as rabbit holes, because eventually the cat gets distracted.
  • Colleen's scooter cape, which is the perfect size to serve as a blanket on a twin-size bed. She used it during her many hospital stays; I hauled it over to my bed night before last because it got cold. It will probably stay there for most of this winter.
  • The fact that cold weather can be dealt with by adding layers of insulation (either bedding or clothing), as needed. This is not true of hot weather, obviously.
  • Dreamwidth.

Today's a good day for layers! I'm wearing a tank top, a regular shirt, and a light sweater, as well as some pajama pants and a skirt with two layers.

Cats and layers both make for a more pleasant winter.

Here's to the distractions that tie the work together.

Rabbit holes about cats, on the other hand... two great tastes that go great together? :-)

My cats are quite a distraction. They are a delight. Purrs are so healing.
