Today I am grateful for...

• madfilkentist's correction to my arithmetic in yesterday's post -- I was off by a factor of 5). Also thankful that it was just an off-hand quip rather than something with real consequences.
• Apropos the discussion said quip was part of, the latest wind storm on Whidbey didn't do any damage, and the power stayed on. Also having mostly cleaned out the fridge and freezer after the last outage.
• Heat and topical anti-inflamatory gel. (At least I'm hoping the diclofenac gel will help my aching hip. Worth a try.)
• Not using LastPass.
• Not relying on the bird place for anything important. You may have noticed yesterday's outage. And passwords don't appear to have been exposed in the latest data breach, but I changed mine anyway.
