I've been having a hard time getting out of bed lately. Typical symptom of depression and anxiety, but having a cat purring on my lap makes it even harder. It also makes it harder to use my laptop.

The 28th was a bad day all around. Southwest Airlines Has Meltdown In Denver, Declares Emergency, Twitter users report global outage with many unable to log into website, and there was a Twitter Data Breach: 400 Million Users Affected. It would have been my mom's 102nd birthday. The 27th wasn't all that great if you've been using LastPass.

The fact that today is Public Domain Day 2023 may brighten things up a little. See today's music.

And have a happy New Year -- here's hoping! (But I'm pessimistic.)

Thanks for the links, I saved several of them to read later.

I moved my mum's passwords out of LastPass and into Bitwarden last week, my sister has already moved to Bitwarden.

I use iCloud for my photo library, I need to make sure I go through and clean out anything that shouldn't be in there. Adding to the pile of ongoing digital clean-up tasks for this month, I'm reorganising my password vault ahead of writing up the after-I'm-gone document for my sister and also cleaning up my email archives.

Andrew Tate... I watched that 'clap back' video of his and cringed. What's truly sad is that there are probably hundreds, maybe thousands more like him online and out in the wild, with the same mentality towards women.

I've been poking around a bit on Mastodon, and I finally have a handle on how to use it without getting overwhelmed or losing time to it. The best thing so far is #catsofmastodon which I have as a pinned tab. :)

I'm going to keep an eye on how tea progresses, as someone who uses brew to manage various command line tools. The web3 mentions make me a little twitchy, maybe they should just stick to saying it's blockchain and avoid the hype trap.
