Today I am grateful for...

  • Powerline ethernet adapters, giving me a fast, reliable internet connection in my Lair. Finally. How long have I had those sitting on my desk??
  • PT-prescribed exercises that, apparently, increase my flexibility and decrease my hip pain.
  • Laptop computers.
  • Also laptop cats, even though they aren't entirely compatible with the above.
  • Learning a little more about the temporomandibular joint, including the fact that teeth-clenching tends to destabilize it. No fscking thanks to my right TMJ itself. There are times when I envy the agnatha.

No thanks to my habit of occasionally falling asleep sitting up in bed without my CPAP mask on. I suppose that's a hazard of having an adjustable bed and no room for a comfortable chair nearby. And a laptop.

Thanks. My college radio station had been a "carrier current" station, only able to be received inside the school's buildings. I'm surprised it can handle data speeds.

Oh, man, this has happened to me too, more than once.

Hello, Steve. A long time ago you recommended Acoustica to me as software to rip my CDs. I need to rip some new CDs and my DVDs, and unfortunately that piece of software (according to their website) doesn't work with Windows 10, and they've moved on to a different kind of product. Would you happen to know any other good program/app I can use to rip CDs? Preferably, one I can buy online and download. As always, thanks for your help.

I get the naptop cats. Monroe is my computer kitty. He often tries to type for me, and loves watching the cursor move. He loves batting the piece of paper taped over the camera (cheap security). At this age, everything is a cat toy.
