Thankful Thursday

Actually, I'm not feeling particularly grateful right now. But I'll see what I can do.

Today I am grateful for...

• Not having returned my old (Phillips Respironics Dreamstation 1) CPAP when I got the new one (Dreamstation 2) as a result of the not-so-recent-anymore recall. The DS2 is broken. Getting a runaraound between Phillips and (DME provider)Norco, but fortunately I don't have to care too much. I'll be able to get a new one in mid-April. (Unless ResMed is out of stock -- people are avoiding Phillips for some reason.)
• Gin.
• Tiny cheap low-power computers. The raspberry pi used to be a great example of that, but supply-chain issues -- and maybe price-gouging -- have driven the price up. Fortunately there are alternatives, like Orange Pi and Libre Computers.
• Cats. Less thankful for cats with sharp claws -- I'm looking at you, Ticia. I still love you, but ouch!

I tell Murderface that I'm very proud of her for growing that and manicuring it into a spike HERSELF! ... as I'm busy with the cat clippers, stealing her sharps. (She gets treats while she's still in the Undignified position, after all the clipping is done.)

Dad holds Monroe and I do the claw clipping. I'm the most dexterous with the best vision (not saying much in our household). Dad does a good scruffing. We get it done. He gets “cat cookies”, AKA dental treats. His murder mittens are especially murderous.
